Philips 278E8QJAB, a 27-inch curved monitor with VA Full HD panel
The manufacturer MMD Display has introduced a new Philips curved monitor of 27 inches. It is equipped with a VA slab giving it a good contrast.
The Philips 278E8QJAB has a 27-inch curved VA panel with a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080p. The radius of curvature of 1.8 meters allows a good immersion.
The manufacturer announces a maximum brightness of 250 cd / m², a contrast of 3,000: 1, viewing angles of 178 °, coverage of 130% of the sRGB color space and 103% of the NTSC color space, but the response time is not communicated. The monitor is also compatible with FreeSync / AdaptiveSync technology which helps prevent image tearing and micro-jerks.
The foot is pretty classic. It’s identical to the Philips BDM4037UW, the huge 40-inch monitor we’ve tested. It is thus satisfied with the adjustment of the inclination between -5 ° and + 20 °. In terms of connectivity, there is a DisplayPort input, a VGA input, an HDMI input and an audio input and a headphone output. This monitor comes with two 3-watt speakers.
The Philips 278E8QJAB monitor will be available during the month of March for a price of around € 280. It will be more expensive than a 27-inch Full HD monitor more classic like the Philips 276E7.
